If you find yourself dealing with the unexpected, you can apply for a grant from the Taking Care of Our Own Fund. We offer two types of grants.
Get You to Safety Grant
Do you need immediate support due to a large natural disaster or other catastrophe? We provide $1000 grants to help employees impacted by government declared disasters. For information on how to apply, please contact the McKesson Foundation at firstname.lastname@example.org or check out our FAQs.
We Care Grant
Depending on your situation, we provide grants up to $5,000 to cover basic costs after an unexpected event. To make sure we help those who need it most, income guidelines apply.
To find out if you qualify for a grant, look at our FAQ. If it feels like the right resource for you, fill out the online application. It’s a grant, not a loan, so you never have to pay us back. We know these situations are time-sensitive, so we'll get back to you as soon as we can, usually within 3-5 business days. If approved, you should receive payment within 2 weeks.
When you donate to the Fund, we’ll double your donation through the McKesson Foundation. Because making a difference for patients starts with making a difference for each other.

All donations to the fund at the Emergency Assistance Foundation, Inc. are tax deductible in the U.S. The EIN# for the Emergency Assistance Foundation is 45-1813056.
McKesson supports the fund, and it’s run by the Emergency Assistance Foundation. They review the applications and make the decisions. You can count on EAF to keep your information confidential. We won’t share your story unless you choose to.
